Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala

Tim Tebow (in Ralph Lauren Purple Label)
Props to the once Denver Broncos QB. Tailors very well to fit his athletic body type. With clean light fabric. You dont want to over do it on the fabric or else you will make him look bigger than he is. Just Simple & Classic.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala

Matt Bomer (in Carolina Herrera)

Double-breasted-jacket. Simply Awesome! Not many men can pull off this look, the key is perfect fitting. (aka. tailoring)

Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala

Tom Brady (in Tom Ford with an Audemars Piguet watch)
Even though it looks like Brady got a swirlie on his way to the Met, he's still "that pretty motherfucker." (Tom Ford you a fool for that midnight blue, son!) Tell Gisele we said whatup

Suit Shorts

Now that sprig is here and summer is fast approaching, what better way to pump up your wardrobe than with a pair of shorts. I don't mean casual beach shorts, but a classic old fashion pair of suit shorts.
I know it might seam as a weird concept, wearing a suit (jacket, dress shirt, tie) with a pair of shorts. We have all seen those black and white movies or pictures from the 1920's when boys used to wear suit with shorts. It's a very cute boyish look than we should not be afraid to try out.
Definitely an eye catcher, sophisticated and youthful look. You don't want to over dramatize wearing to many accessories, or to many patterns at once. You don't want to make it look to much like a costume.
   Keep it simple and classy.

YSL: The Retrospective (Denver, CO)

Yves Saint Laurent: The Retrospective' exhibit opens at Denver Art Museum.

Showcasing 200 haute couture garments along with numerous photographs, drawings, and films that illustrate the development of Saint Laurent's style and the impact it had in fashions history.

It's a great honor to have the only showing in the United States a coveted show that did not go to New York City or L.A. but to our ever growing City of Denver Colorado.

   Denver (Associated Press):
Interview with Pierre Berge, Saint Laurent's business and life partner.

People ask me, 'Why Denver?'" Berge said. "My answer is, 'Why not Denver?'"

"He loved to show his work to everybody and everywhere," Berge added. "I think in Denver probably many, many people like art — and why not fashion?"

Patterns & Prints

Patterns and Prints are the hottest new trend for both men's and women's fashion. They bring a sort of natural elegance to any piece. It brightens up your wardrobe and adds a sense of freshness.
Theirs so many Patterns and Prints too choose from, all depends in personal taste or how bold you are. Prints and Patterns are in a sense a statement piece. You cannot be shy wearing such pieces. Including shirts, pants and scarves. You most certainly will attract attention.

Checkers

One word, Checkers! A few set of square figures and patterns that make any ensemble ¡POP!
A perfect trend for spring and summer, its fresh and believe it or not, simple. With so much attention on the checker patterns, your whole ensemble is keep to the minimum. You can be bold and try something like a whole suit with outstanding colors; or something simple like an basic color blazer.
I own a pair of checker chinos, and their an attention grabber! With a simple jacket and black shoes i'm good to go.

Proportions

A fast growing trend in men's fashion, is the way designers construct their pieces. They have started in shortening proportions. Everything from crop pants, slimmer shorter jackets and blazers, and thinner fabrics.
Most looks on the runway may be a bit bazaar for common use, but what we can take from it is a key word, "TAILORING". Being able to adjust our clothes to our bodies, make them fit us and not the other way around. Clothes will definitely look better on us, more composed.
Its not so hard finding a good local tailor, even some department stores offer tailoring on products you buy their. I'm not saying you should tailor everything you buy, but definitely tailor suits, blazers, sport jackets and pants (to perfect size). An upside to tailoring you can tailor sizes up and down as time passes and your body changes.

Just a Thought.

A Man has "Style",
& A Gentlemen has "Class"

Color Blocking

A New Year a fresh new start. What better way to start it off with the latest trend for spring 2012. Set of random colors, bright colors that are eye catching; and help to proportion yourself. I have talked about wearing colors before, just to point out some things to remember: You don't want to over do it so keep everything else a solid basic color. This is definitely an attention grabber, so be prepared to most certainly be complemented.
